I am a Slacker, Plus 2,000 Books Sold!

I have been a total slacker on my blog lately, and I’m sorry! I really want to be writing a post every single day, so I’m going to work harder, I promise. Truthfully, I’m not really a slacker. Not completely. I have been busy working on Book 3. I originally hoped to upload it by Wednesday, the 23rd of Feb, but it’s looking like it will be Thursday now instead. Not terribly late, but this book has been pushing me, that’s for sure.

I am a little nervous about the release of BITTER DEMONS later this week. I’m pricing this one at $2.99 instead of $.99 and while I feel like it’s a great book, I’m nervous about how people will see the new price. $3 is still not a huge stretch compared to the $10 or more most traditional publishers are charging for ebooks, but as an Indie author, I want to make sure to keep a handle on what my readers are expecting and willing to pay. I hope everything goes great and sales continue to grow!

On another note, I’ve officially sold over 2,000 ebooks this month! And there’s still a week left in February! I’m floored by how much my Kindle store sales have increased this month. BN has actually sunk to less than half of what I sold there last month, but Kindle has more than made up for it. I hope this growth in total numbers is going to continue. It’s so exciting to be a writer right now! I love that I can put books out quickly and get feedback on sales right away instead of waiting months to know what anyone thinks of it or how many copies I’ve sold. Self-publishing is awesome. Just sayin’.

Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive and has read my books. I really appreciate every single sale!

  1. Hi Sarra,
I am so excited for your Book 3, Bitter Demons. I am a 39 year old mom of 3 and LOVE your books. I think your ebook price of 2.99 is well worth it. I look forward to reading more of the series. Thanks for keeping me young!

  2. Hi Sarra
I can only say that I agree, can't wait to continue my bedtime reading. And the price is just fine, I just hope that I can buy the book in the International Amazone kindleshop on the release date. I live in Denmark, Europe and will do my best to recommend your books to my friends!
