Demons Forever Release Date!

The number one question I’ve been asked in emails and on facebook and twitter over the past several months is: When is book 6 coming out? Trust me when I say that it’s a question I’ve been asking myself a lot too!

Life with a new baby is not easy, as I’m sure many of you ladies know! I’m not meaning to make excuses, but I’ve had a rough time of it since Andrew was born. I won’t go into all of the details, but I’ve had three separate infections that have left me with fevers and exhaustion. That means three separate rounds of antibiotics and more doctor’s appointments than I ever wanted to have post-partum. That part hasn’t been fun. And aside from the infections, I’ve been trying to enjoy as much time with my baby as I can. That’s the part that HAS been fun!

Needless to say, though, I’ve been struggling to find the time where I felt good enough to write. My original hope was to get the book out in September, but with these unexpected health setbacks, I just don’t see any way that can happen. I know many of you will be disappointed that the book is still not out yet, but I hope with all my heart that you will understand that I’m just as disappointed as you are.

In an effort to make sure that I can have some dedicated time to work on Demons Forever in the upcoming month or two, I have found a part-time nanny for my son. She’ll be watching him 3 hours a day, 3 times a week for me so that I can focus 100% on the book. My husband is also taking over on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons for me to write. Apart from that, I’m trying to set aside time every night after Andrew goes to sleep as well. I am determined to be both a good Mommy and a good writer!

Thinking through it this week, I decided that setting an official release date for Demons Forever would both give me motivation and a set deadline and also give fans of the series a definite date to look forward to. So, without further delay, the expected release date of Demons Forever, the 6th and final book of the Peachville High Demons series is:

OCTOBER 29TH!

It may be a little bit later than I hoped, but all in all, it’s really not that far away. This date will allow me to finish the second draft, have time for my critique group to read and get together to discuss it, get the book to beta readers, and finally get a good polish on the content so I can make it the very best book I can write, giving Harper the series end she deserves.

This date also has extreme significance for me as it will be my 2 year Indie-versary. Exactly 2 years from the date that I first self-published Beautiful Demons!! I actually think it’s kind of perfect, honestly. Things coming full circle, in a way.

And to celebrate, I’m putting together some really fun giveaways!! I’ve already been working on some great SWAG to offer up to readers, and I think you’ll like it. I’ll be running these giveaways throughout the month of October. Toward the middle of September, I’ll also be instating Teaser Tuesdays, where I will give a short teaser excerpt of Book 6 here on my blog! On the day of the actual release (or possibly the day before?) I’m also thinking of doing something fun like a live video chat or a twitter chat to talk about the series and what you’re most looking forward to in Demons Forever.

Yesterday on my Facebook Page, I also let it slip that I have some super secret news that I can’t wait to share with everyone. I’m still not allowed to give out the great news, but I’m hoping that by the time the 6th book comes out, I’ll be able to spill the beans! Maybe I’ll reveal the news during the chat! We’ll see!

In honor of this announcement, I thought it would be fun to give away 2 free copies of the Demons Forever ebook. The email addresses of the 2 winners will be added to my list of people who will receive a copy of the Demons Forever ebook a day or more before its official release date. This is the ONLY way to receive a copy of the book before everyone else, so enter to win!!!

I just wanted to say thank you for everyone who has stuck with me throughout the entire series. The fans of the Peachville High Demons series are seriously the best in the world. You’ve been so good to me, and I can’t tell you how much I truly appreciate it. I hope you’re as excited as I am about the new release on October 29th. I’m putting a countdown ticker on my homepage and here on the blog so we can count down the days together until the final book of Harper and Jackson’s story!

  74. I completely understand about wanting to be a good mommy and how all consuming having a baby is. People may be naturally disappointed to have to wait but I for one will wait patiently. I loved all the books in the series and I am so excited for the release of the upcoming book. Thank you for your dedication to your fans but make sure you take time for yourself and your family. Thank you for your wonderful books!

  77. Hey Sarra, I just wanted to let you how much your books have inspired me. My husband passed away in a car accident last November 12. Since then i’ve been trying to find a focus; reading your books and many others have really helped me focus and it gives me a time for me to relax and fall into the story. When book 5 was over I was excited that the series was not over and have been majorily anticipating book 6. Keep up your amazing writing skills and good luck with your family. I have twins of my own- a boy and a girl. They will be 3 October 29th! Hope you have a great evening!!!

  78. I cannot wait till October 29th now! That will be the best several days lol not only is a great addition to a fantastic series coming out but Halloween is right around the corner, the best holiday ever! Lol I appreciate you keeping us updated, I’m super excited!

  79. I am so happy that I managed to find this series! It captivated me. As I finished one I just had to start the next! I couldn’t put them down. Thank you so much for providing me with a lovely reading experience and I wish you all the best with your beautiful new baby boy.

  80. Of course I wish it were coming sooner, but I think everyone can understand the delay. Enjoy your baby. 🙂 Can’t wait for the final book!

  81. I love the books, thank you for the e-mail Sara, I cannot wait to read more about Harper! BTW congrats on your new little one

  82. Yay! I’m excited for the release date! I’m also hoping the Nanny works out! And congrats to the winners! 🙂

  83. Hope to be a winner like you are. Good luck with your baby. It does get easier. They grow up way too fast. My babies are 38 and 40 now.

  84. Oh my GOSH! That Ending….it’s surprising, I don’t even think there was foreshadowing to predict it… ok enough of that talk!We start in on Rival Demons exactly where Shadow Demons leaves off. Jackson, Lea, Harper and Mary Anne enter the Demon world, and honestly it seemed to not fit entirely with the ending of the last book, and I was slightly confused for a few pages, but it had been a while since I read Shadow Demons. The story starts off in the action and sees some pretty terrific things going on with Harper. The bulk of the story is in the Underground, where the resistance is hiding in the demon world. Harper and Mary Anne are allowed in but they are very limited in what they can do. The demons don’t trust humans, and who could blame them? All of the human’s they’ve known have kidnapped and enslaved their kind, so Harper and Mary Anne are scrutinized, especially Harper. Jackson is distant and keeping secrets and Harper decides (eventually) to stop obsessing on her lack of contact, and the secretive nature of Jackson, and try to make herself a stronger witch.I do like this series, this wasn’t my favorite book, but I think the next (and last) book will be VERY entertaining and action packed. I liked seeing the demon world, or glimpsing the demon world, and seeing what madness the Order has brought upon this other world. It’s true that a lot of people (in real life and in the story) look at atrocities that afflict the world and just choose to hide or ignore it because they are too afraid, or have too much doubt in themselves to effect what’s going on. This series, mostly this book, addresses that fact and sometimes it takes a loud and obstinate, and naive, voice to make a difference, trying is better than sitting around. I look forward to picking up the upcoming conclusion Demons Forever, whenever it’s released.
