Demons Forever in One Week!!

Hi everyone!! I’m sorry I haven’t been around much, but I’ve been working so incredibly hard on Demons Forever. I want every little detail to be perfect. Plus, I’m not one of these writers who has the book completed and ready a month or two ahead of time and sends it out to editors, etc. I am a last-minute kind of gal, LOL.

The truth is, I work very well under pressure. It can be incredibly stressful, but it’s also very fun. 🙂 With each release in this series, I’ve ended up rewriting entire sections of the book in the last week before it came out. Does this make me insane? Quite possibly, yes.

And here we are!! One week from the release of Demons Forever! I am excited and so very nervous to find out what everyone thinks of the ending. I have truly poured my heart and my passion into this novel, so I am praying fans of the series love it!

As I’ve mentioned before, October 29th is also my 2 year Indie-versary!!!! That means it will be exactly two years since I took a leap of faith and self-published Beautiful Demons. I was nervous, wondering if it was a smart move for me or if I should look for an agent and try to publish traditionally instead. I am so happy I decided to become an Indie author. It’s one of the best decisions I ever made, and I am excited to celebrate 2 years and over 104,000 sales.

How do I plan to celebrate both of these major events?? With some fun FAN APPRECIATION giveaways!!!!! After all, where would I be without you guys? <3 I have been working very hard to put together a fun fan appreciation swag pack. I will have all of the amazing details on how to get one for yourself starting soon (after I finish all the final work on Demons Forever), but for now, I’ll tease you a little with pics of what is in the prize packs. I hope you like it!

TIER 1:

The PHD Fan Appreciation Swag Pack includes: a signed PHD bookmark, a sticker, a temporary demon tattoo like Harper wears in the first books, and a Demons Forever ribbon!!

TIER 2:

Includes all of the above items, PLUS a Peachville High Demons t-shirt!!!! The shirts are already ordered and I just got news that they shipped, but I haven’t actually seen them yet or gotten to take a pic yet. I will post a pic of me wearing one later this week! For now, I’ll just post a pic of what I expect it to look like:

TIER 3:

This final tier of giveaways will have all of the above, PLUS a $50 Visa gift card, which hopefully you will use to buy more books, hehe.

Overall, there will be LOTS of Tier 1 giveaways, about 15 or so Tier 2 giveaways, and only 1 Tier 3 giveaway. I might try to also name these something more fun than tier 1 etc. Maybe something clever like “Demons Fan” is Tier 1, “Demons Cheerleader” is Tier 2 and something fun for Tier 3. If you have ideas for fun names for the giveaway, please comment below, as currently all of my creativity is being used on the book, HA!

These giveaways will begin on Monday, October 29th here on my blog and will run for the entire week. Make sure you are signed up for my newsletter so you will get a notification in your email when the book and the giveaways go live!!! Or, if you’d rather, simply follow me on Twitter or Facebook as I’ll also be posting about the giveaways there.

And just for fun, why don’t we do one Tier 2 giveaway right now??? That’s right! I’m giving away a Peachville High T-shirt, Demons Forever Ribbon, demon temporary tattoo, signed bookmark and a sticker to one lucky winner. I will also throw in a free ebook copy of Demons Forever, which I will mail out to you before I hit “publish”. (*Sorry fans abroad! This contest is open to US residents only, due to shipping costs. As a fun requirement for this giveaway, I’m going to ask for your help in creating a soundtrack of the PHD series that will help motivate me while I finish my final edits and read-throughs!!! You’ll get 5 points for commenting below with the Song Title and Artist of a song that you think fits the series. It can be a song that makes you think of Harper and Jackson’s love story or a song that Harper might listen to before she kicks a Hunter’s butt. :p. I’ll use the songs you mention to put together a playlist I can listen to as I put the finishing touches on the book!

  7. So my FAVE group ever was Tsunami Bomb (they have since split and created their own groups) but they have some amazing songs. I think, for Harper, the song: 5150 is really good… a feel-good-get-pumped type of song. Their song: The Simple Truth would be such a cute love song for the Harper and Jackson too. Seriously, I LOVE Tsunami Bomb. lol

    1. Aww, well that’s a sweet song! I used to listen to country music all the time when I was a teen, but haven’t really listened in a while. Love this song though!

  12. I think a great song for Harper and Jackson’s love is Life House’s song Hanging by a Moment and a good song for the battle is by Disturbed called, Inside the Fire! I am so happy and excited for your success! You deserve it with all of the hard work, and hours upon hours of work that you’ve put in. I wish you and your family continued success! I am one of your biggest fans since you started publishing, and I can’t wait to read more of your work 🙂

    1. Great suggestions Lindy. I love Lifehouse, and there are some great lyrics there. “I’m letting go of all I’ve held onto.” I like the Disturbed song too, lol. It’s almost like it should be Priestess WInter’s anthem,haha. Thanks for being such an awesome fan!

    1. Oh my gosh, yes! Haha. I actually danced to that song in a cheer uniform when I was a little girl taking dance lessons. Great song!

I absolutly love these books im so looking forward to getting the last book as sad it is that its ending its going to be my birthday present to myself im going to be 21 it comes out the same day, and i look forward to getting a swag bag. A group that would be great for you would be within temptation its a european bad like evanesence but better in certain ways.

I think it is because you described the demon world so wonderfully and really helped the reader connect with harper’s feelings. I can’t wait to see how it will end.

    1. Sweet, this is probably one of my favorite suggestions so far. I can’t believe I didn’t know all these great songs! And thank you for saying you love Rival Demons! It’s one of my favorites too, but I did recently get a review saying it was the worst of the series, which made me sad. What I love most about it is that Harper begins to really see her own potential and believe in her own power. She’s grown so much since the first book, and to me it seems like she’s a real person now!

I disagree! and, no, I am not just saying that. I really felt that loose ends were beginning to be tied up and Harper was starting to understand her powers (as you said). critics… ugh…

    1. Thanks Jon! I love this song for Jackson. The fact that he’s been living in Peachville for so many years, losing hope that he’ll ever be able to save his brother. Then Harper comes along and brings him back to life and makes him believe again. Awesome!

      1. Yea thats kinda how i felt, but it has been a while since i read the books. I am currently rereading them so i remember all the details, i’ve read like 20 books since starting your series lol.

  25. I just love your series and find your imagination an adventure to follow- the character development especially in number 5 is just plain fun! The song that I would love for Harper to sing to her man is “You light up my life”-both today in this world and in the underworld- that would be splendid!

    As Long As You Love Me By: Justin Bieber (Not a Belieber but this song is actually pretty good. So is Fall by Him, which kinda fits too I guess.)

    Hmmm…I’m not that great at picking songs for anything but Don’t Walk Away by Sick Puppies kinda brings Harper and Jackson’s relationship to mind. Same thing with When It Rains by Paramore.

  30. I dunno, I think “Some Nights” by FUN or even “Firework” by Katy Perry would be good. Some nights, because of Jackson’s history, and Firework, because throughout the series Harper is constantly trying to find herself.
    On the other hand, “Something to be proud of” by Montgomery Gentry because Harper is always wondering if her mom is going to be let down by her decisions.

    I think Industructible by Disturbed would be a good one, Inside the Fire would also go good with it. Inside the fire…part of the lyrics “Give your soul to me for eternity….” Disturbed is a little harder music style, but the lyrics are pretty good. I am seeing a lot of love songs, and to me these songs would be more of theme, overcoming obsitcles and standing strong. 🙂

  35. I seriously looovvveee this series. Book 5 was by far my favorite.
    Soooo a song that fits the book and gets the creative juices following….has to be For the First Time by The Script because no matter the struggles Harper and Jackson are together and are about to really meet for the first time 🙂

  41. CanNOT wait!…any longer :)! I’m impressed you finished so quickly after having a baby! My boys are 15 and 18 and I still can’t figure out how to manage all the time I now have, ha ha! A song? “We Found Love” by Rhiannon. Very upbeat, young adult.

    1. Yes Kim! I’m so glad you mentioned that song. I always think of Harper and Jackson when I hear that. Especially the line where he sings “I see that you’ve come so far, to be right where you are, how old is your soul?” LOVE it!

  53. I think either “Warrior” or “Inside the Fire” by Disturbed would be great choices for fighting scenes! Also, for Harper and Jackson I think “One and Only” by Adele would be perfect.

  55. This is very exciting! Love song for Harper and Jackson would have to be Touch by Josh Abbott band.. A great ass kicking song could be bodies by drowning pool or Chevelle – seeing red…. There’s more I just can’t think of anything!

    1. 🙁 Sorry Kiley. I’ve really done everything I possibly can to work on it. It’s in the final stages, so shouldn’t be much longer. Just couldn’t quite get it out today.
