The New Name, A Winner, and Death’s Awakening

Thank you so much to everyone who entered my contest this week and gave me suggestions or voted for your favorite new name for the hero of my upcoming New Adult contemporary romance, The Trouble With Goodbye.

The winner out of the names I suggested was: ETHAN. But just barely! There were 25 votes for Ethan, 20 for Colton and 20 for Connor. No one voted for Marcus, haha.

But I have to tell you, I absolutely LOVED hearing your suggestions. There were some great names listed in the comments and on FB, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had so much fun reading everyone’s comments and seeing what names you thought would fit this character. I can’t use them all for this one character, but you might see a name you suggested show up later in another book, because I took notes!

Some of my favorites from the ones mentioned were: Tristan, Knox, Chance, Luke, Clayton, Flynn, Levi, Brennan, Tripp, Hoyt, Carter and Thayer. You will probably see one or two of these names in the book, with the possibility of these guys getting their own love story in the future. Thank you to everyone for the awesome suggestions. All of the names were really great.

And the name I’ve chosen for the hero of The Trouble With Goodbye is: KNOX!!!  I totally love this name and it fits him so well. I liked it even better than Ethan, so Knox is the winner! Thank you to Gillian and Bonnie who suggested that name here on the blog and to Angie who mentioned it over on my FB page.

I think my absolute favorite comments were from those of you who said you’re looking forward to the book no matter what name I chose. You have no idea how much that means to me! A huge thank you to everyone who entered. I have the best fans in the world!!

OH! And I can’t tell you how happy I was that some of you mentioned the name Noah!!! This is the main hero in my next book, Death’s Awakening!!! I totally <3 this character. He’s very different from Jackson, but I’ve had a lot of fun exploring a different kind of guy. The other main male character in Death’s Awakening is Crash, and I think a lot of you are going to love him. (I hope!)

The hero name we just chose is for The Trouble With Goodbye. This is a New Adult Contemporary Romance that will be for a slightly older 17+ audience due to some sexual situations and mature themes. The cover reveal for Trouble will be on April 2nd, and I know you are going to love this cover. It’s so amazing. As for when the book will be out, I don’t have a release date set yet, but I’m aiming for May.

Before I can work more on Trouble, though, I’ve got to finish up Death’s Awakening!! I am very close to being finished with the book and hopefully announcing a release date within the next few weeks. I had actually planned to stay in a hotel this weekend for a write-a-palooza with a writer friend to finish up the book, but I have a teething baby at home and he’s been sick since last night, so I’ve decided to stay home.  I’ll keep you updated and will let you know as soon as the book goes to beta readers!! Death’s Awakening is more like my Demons series and will be appropriate for Young Adult readers.

My hopes for release schedule is Death’s Awakening in April and The Trouble With Goodbye in May. It’s going to be a busy Spring, but I’m really excited. I hope you’re excited to start these new series with me!!! Thanks for entering the contest and I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!!
