Self-Publishing Online Workshop

I get questions all the time about self-publishing, so I thought I’d mention here that I’m teaching a two week online workshop on self-publishing through the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers.

The class will run from this Sunday, February 2nd to Sunday the 16th. Everything will take place online, so you don’t have to worry about location! I will be covering everything from the basics to some slightly more advanced techniques. By the end of the class, you’ll have information on how to format, upload, price, and market your self-published book. I’ll also give you a huge resource list with websites of popular self-pub blogs, cover artists, formatters, editors and more. Plus, I’ll be around to answer any of your questions even after the class is over.

I gave the same workshop last year and had tons of students self-publish their first books within the next month or two after the class. One student even hit the USA Today Bestseller list within six months of the class! I certainly can’t take credit for that, but I helped give her the tools she needed to get started.

  1. I signed up, but I’m having issues with the Yahoo group. I am only signed up for the emails, and when I try to get web access, it freezes me out. I think it may be an issue on Yahoo’s end. How will this effect my participation in the workshop.

    1. Ack! Michele, I honestly have no idea! Everything I do in the class should go through your email, so as long as you’re getting emails, it should be fine. I am guessing you are having an issue with Yahoo. I had it locking up on me as well. But the individual messages should come through fine. The only problem would be if you wanted to download the lessons in a word doc instead of through email. If that’s the case, i can just email them to you individually if Yahoo doesn’t start working before hand. Feel free to ask the question in group through email. The moderators work with these yahoo groups all the time and might be able to answer better than I can!

  3. Hi Sarra 🙂 I signed up for your workshop this morning and paid through paypal. Hope it’s not too late! I haven’t heard back yet on how to log in to the workshop.
