And just in case some of you are wondering where this book fits in to the rest of my series, here is a brief rundown of the reading order:

Everything begins with the core Peachville High Demons series. You can read those in this order:

1. Beautiful Demons
2. Inner Demons
3. Bitter Demons
4. Shadow Demons
5. Rival Demons
6. Demons Forever

If you haven’t read these yet, you can get the first three books for free in the Beautiful Demons Box Set.

After that, there are 3 bonus novellas.

• A Demon’s Wrath, Part 1
• A Demon’s Wrath, Part 2 (These novellas are told from Jackson’s Point of View. They go back and forth between his past in the Shadow World and his present with Harper.)
• After Midnight (This is a side story about Allison, one of the original PHD cheerleaders who is now in hiding in New Orleans.)

The first spin-off series is called Sacrifice Me. Chronologically, it occurs between the end of Demons Forever and the beginning of A Demon’s Wrath, Part 1, but it can be read at any point after Demons Forever. This story is told as a serial, meaning it is a series of shorter works that originally were released two weeks apart. The Complete Season One is a box set of all six episodes in the first “season” of this serial. I’m expecting to write a total of 3 seasons of this serial.

The second spin-off series is the Beautiful Darkness series. It begins with Emerald Darkness. This series is a continuation of the original Peachville High Demons series, but this time instead of just Harper’s point of view, it’s told from Harper, Lea, Jackson, and Aerden’s voices. There will be at least six books in this series, potentially more.

NOTE: I have specifically written each of these different series and novellas so that you can start at any opening part. What I mean by that is you can read Sacrifice Me and understand and enjoy it without having read any of the other series. You can pick up Emerald Darkness without having read the original PHD series.

However, once you’re inside a series, you need to start at the beginning. So you can’t start with Rival Demons, because that’s book 5 of the PHD series. You HAVE to start with book 1. The Beautiful Darkness series will be the same way. You can start with Emerald Darkness since it’s book 1, but you can’t come in at Book 2 without reading Book 1. Make sense?

If you want to get the absolute most out of this series, you would start at the top with Beautiful Demons and work your way through the list in the order I spelled it out above.

Hope this makes sense and clears it up for you!! As you read, you will see familiar characters cross over from one series to the other. I’m calling the collective works the Shadow Demons Saga from now on. There will be the 3 main series listed above (PHD, Sacrifice Me, and Beautiful Darkness), and either later this year or early 2016, there will be a 4th series starting with The Exiled, a direct spin-off featuring the 10 vampires who help Rend in season one of Sacrifice Me. It should be lots of fun watching these series interact and cross paths!!
