Emerald Darkness Prequel Story, Part 1: Harper

Hi everyone! As some of you know, over the past five weeks I’ve been sending out exclusive prequel stories to my mailing list subscribers. Now that we are just five short days away from the release of Emerald Darkness, I thought I would share these stories with everyone else!!! These short glimpses into each character were originally a set of scenes at the beginning of the book. When I cut them out, I hated to just throw them away entirely, so I wanted to share them with you! Over the next few days leading up to the release, I’ll post…

The Pressure To Produce Faster

If you are an author–at least in today’s Indie world–you have likely been thinking about speed. How fast can you write? This is a question that paralyzes me. I felt pressure to make my work the very best it could be. I studied books on writing and read books by my favorite authors, taking notes on what I could do to improve my craft. I still read books on craft…

Mistake in The Fear of Letting Go

We are all human and make mistakes, right? Sadly, I have made a mistake in The Fear of Letting Go. Here’s what happened. I realized at the last minute that I had called Knox’s bar Ray’s through out the book, instead of Rob’s. I quickly did a search and replace to change Ray to Rob. What this did, sadly, was also change words like pray to pRob. Tray to tRob. I should have done a quick spell check at the end, but just wasn’t thinking. Thank you to my readers who very nicely let me know about the error instead…

New Release: The Fear of Letting Go

The 4th book in the Fairhope series is here!!! The Fear of Letting Go released today!! She’ll have to let go of the past in order to find a love that could last a lifetime. I never expected to become someone. A friend. A faithful employee. A scholar. And least of all, a lover. Love is a word I never truly understood until I moved here and witnessed it…
