Demons Forever Final Edits!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a great week and a fun weekend planned ahead.

My weekend is going to be all about final edits on DEMONS FOREVER! Yes! I finally have finished a lot of the rewrites I needed to do on the beginning and in the middle of the book. Tonight as soon as Andrew goes to sleep, I will start at the very beginning and go all the way through the book, rewriting any scenes that don’t work and tweaking things until they feel right.

I am putting up a fresh word meter here on my blog and on my homepage so anyone who is interested in my progress can follow me over the course of the weekend. At this point, I’m thinking the book will end up right around 85,000 words (Almost twice as long as book 1 and about 12,000 words longer than Rival Demons!), although it might go slightly longer if I add new scenes in the final edits. Once this meter is filled, that means the book IS FINISHED!!Β

Like I mentioned earlier this week, I can’t promise anything but would love to have the book out by Thanksgiving. We are all leaving to go to Georgia (almost 9 hour car ride with a 5 month old, I’m terrified!) on Wednesday morning and won’t be back until after the holiday. This is by no means a promise, so if I don’t get the edits done, the book probably won’t be out until the week after that. BUT, I’m going to give it my all this weekend and try to get everything done.

With any luck, the book will go to beta readers on Monday. I will keep you updated!

For now, I’m going to head to the grocery store and stock up on healthy snacks like carrots and celery and hummus, plus caffeine, haha, and get ready for some late nights. I’m so incredibly blessed that I have a husband who is willing to help out with the baby on weekends like this AND the world’s most amazing fans who have been so patient and kind during this delay. We’re on the home stretch now!!

  1. Yay! I’m excited the book is coming along nicely! I’ll be bummed if it’s not out by Thanksgiving, but I would much rather have you take your time with your edits. I’m just impatient! I hope all is well with the little one. Have a great Thanksgiving!

  2. YES! I’ve been dying for this book to be released. I will definitely be purchasing Demons Forever as soon as it comes out!!!

  3. ive been waiting for this for so long…hope it comes out b4 my exams cuz ill go crazy thinking about it all the time n not concentrate <3

  4. Have fun, Sarra! πŸ˜€ Does Andrew like his car seat? My son loved his, and we drove cross-country with him when he was five months old. It was a DREAM–he slept the entire time! I’m sure you won’t have any major problems. That age is awesome. πŸ˜€

  5. Can’t wait! My son went on many 6 hour plane rides starting at 2 months old. They are much easier when they are small since they still tend to sleep.

  6. Good luck Sarra….. Wishing you all the best with finishing your book.

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK so I’m not exactly sure of the correct way to say this but for when you do celebrate it, Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy!

I am re-reading the Peachville series again while you finish editing, so I have been completely refreshed on the books……
Very excited now I know you are that bit closer to finishing.

Good luck, I hope you manage to finish by Thanksgiving.

    Much love, Sara.
