Current Updates and Live Videos!

Hey, Everyone! I’m coming up for air from work on my novel to say hello and to let you know that you aren’t alone!

I know that things are not easy right now for anyone, so how are you hanging in there? In the comments, let me know where you are in the world and what things are like where you are.

I am in Charleston, South Carolina here in the US, and so far, we have not been given a shelter-in-place order. However, we are self-isolating and doing our best to stay home except to get groceries and go out for our daily walk (don’t worry, we don’t get close to anyone when we walk!).

I did a Facebook Live video yesterday explaining some book updates, discussing a fun new live project coming up, and I read a short story called “The Witching Well”. If you’d like to see the video, the replay is here on Facebook.

Otherwise, read the update here below. Read to the end to get info on the fun new live video project I’ll be starting on Monday and an upcoming cover reveal!!

Book Updates

I’ve been working on Fate’s Surrender, which is the final book in the Eternal Sorrows series. This book is taking me a loooong time to complete. I know part of it is just that I’ve gone through so much throughout the past year or so that I’ve been working on it.

It was difficult to write during pregnancy, and then we moved to a new house, which took a lot of time and energy while 7 months pregnant. Once my sweet Evie was born, I prioritized my time with her as much as possible, of course! We’ve waited for her for so many years, I wasn’t about to let time pass without spending as much of it with her as possible!

Evie is now six months old!

I’ve also mentioned in several places that I’ve really struggled with post partum anxiety. I’ve been in weekly therapy sessions (up until this week with the virus, ugh) to help get the support I need during this time, but it’s all made writing a lot more difficult than I wanted it to be.

I wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all of you who are waiting patiently and sending kind messages to me through email or DM. It means a lot to get those uplifting messages and to know that you are still here with me as I finish the next book.

My hope is that Fate’s Surrender will be completed in early April and hopefully I’ll get it edited and out by May! Not as fast as I had originally hoped, but that should still put me on schedule to release Vengeful Darkness this summer or early fall.

New Covers!

In other big news, I have a LOT of new covers coming your way!!! I’m so excited!!

There are brand new covers coming for the Eternal Sorrows series in anticipation of the new book. These new covers were done by Ravven, the same amazing artist who created my Shadow Demons Saga covers. You guys are going to love them!

I’ll have the official cover reveal for Death’s Awakening coming up on Monday, so check back here or on social media to see!! I’m so excited for you to see these. They are incredible!

I also have brand new covers coming up for the entire Fairhope series!! These new covers are by Najla Qamber Designs, and they are gorgeous. All six books in this completed series are going to be brand new, and I’m excited to reveal those, as well.

You should see all of these new covers going up here on my site in the next week or so, and I can’t wait for you to see them!

I’ll also have a full box set of the completed Fairhope series for you to read at a discounted price.

Live Video Project

Okay, so here’s another thing I’m crazy excited about right now, y’all! Ahhh!! I’ve honestly been wanting to do something like this for a VERY long time, and I just haven’t had a chance to get it going.

What better time to start doing more live videos than now, when we are all kind of stuck in our houses and looking for ways to connect, escape, and have some fun?

Sooo, here goes…

Starting Monday, March 30th, I’ll be going live EVERY DAY at 3PM Eastern for two weeks to read one of my stories for you!

I’m still working on the exact details, and all of this will be a bit fun and experimental, but I’m honestly so excited to do this!

In the Facebook Live yesterday, we discussed whether I should read something you’ve maybe already read in an anthology, or if I should read something brand new to you? I have several stories you haven’t read before that I have written but never had a chance to release, and it seemed like the overwhelming majority of people wanted to hear something brand new!

My first thought when I woke up this morning was, “Oh fun!! I get to work on editing one of my stories today to read!” And I can’t tell you how amazing it felt to wake up excited today, even during this time of high anxiety!

I’ll be running a vote on what to read over in my Coven (Fan facebook group), so if you aren’t part of that yet, please come join us!!! Be sure to answer the question when you request to join, or your request will be declined. This is how we keep the group free of spammers!

COME JOIN THE COVEN!!!

Live on YouTube

For these daily live videos, I’ve decided to go live over on YouTube! I know many of you aren’t used to checking me out on YouTube, but there are some specific reasons I’ve decided to use YouTube for this.

First, if I do the videos on YT, it’s so much easier to embed that video here on my website, wattpad, and other places on the web. It’s also a lot easier to share it then on Facebook and other social media platforms.

Second, by doing the videos on YT, more people will be able to discover me there. If I do it on Facebook, only people who already have liked my page will see the video, and even then, Facebook only notifies a small part of my audience about my posts!

So, that being said, I hope you’ll come join me over on YouTube! If you aren’t subscribed to my channel over there, come subscribe now and sign up for notifications!

I’m looking forward to seeing you there! More news and the Death’s Awakening cover reveal coming soon!

  1. Hello from Charlotte N.C. . We are in the process of shelter in. Schools shut down until May 15th. I think it will be to end of school year. Good thing we have plenty of your books to read.
