The Witch’s Key Starts Tomorrow!
Oh my gosh, what a crazy few days this has been for me!! Last week, I started thinking, “How can I help my fans during this challenging time? What can I do that might help take everyone’s mind off of the pandemic?”
The answer was clear. I may not be a doctor or a health professional that can help the world in big ways right now, but I can contribute a story that might help you get lost in a new world for a little while.
After going live on Facebook last week to talk about it, I realized the most helpful type of story would be something brand new that you haven’t read before. I decided to go searching through my treasure trove of half-written stories that never quite made it into novels, and I found the perfect story!!!
The Witch’s Key
I am crazy excited about The Witch’s Key! This is a book I started about four or five years ago after I had a dream that woke me up in the middle of the night. I literally jumped out of bed and had to start writing!
Back then, however, I just couldn’t quite finish the story, and I ran out of time to work on it. So, The Witch’s Key has been hiding out in my Google Drive since then, just waiting for its time to shine.
And here it is!
Live Readings Every Day at 4PM on YouTube
Starting tomorrow, Monday, March30th, I’ll be going live over on my YouTube channel (Sarra Cannon) to read a chapter of The Witch’s Key every single day for two weeks.
Here’s how it will work and where you can find the story:
- Live Readings will take place on YouTube here at 4PM Eastern (NYC Time). If you’re unsure what time that is for you, check this Time Zone Converter.
- The video replay will be posted here to my blog, on Wattpad, Instagram, and on Facebook (both on my page and in the Coven group).
- I will also be posting the text of each chapter here to my blog and to Wattpad each day for those who want to read instead of listening to me read it for you.
- I’ll be live to read a chapter (video should be about 30 minutes, I hope) each day with the exception of Sundays! I need that one day of break, so instead of a live video, I’ll be posting a vlog-style pre-recorded video to YouTube that day.
That’s it! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and set a reminder if you want to attend live and have some time to chat with me and other readers. Plus, I would really appreciate the support during the live video, as this is something totally new for me, too!
Right now, I’m only committing to these two weeks, and we’ll see how it goes from there! If you love The Witch’s Key, we can see about making it a rolling story that’s just read live like this.
If the world goes back to normal in a couple of weeks, and we’re just done, then I’m okay with that, too!
I think this is going to be a really fun distraction, and I’m looking forward to hanging out and reading this new story to you! I’ll also be working on Fate’s Surrender, the final book in the Eternal Sorrows trilogy, at the same time, so I’ll likely give updates on that book and my plans for Vengeful Darkness during the live feed.
I can’t wait!!! I’ll see you tomorrow!
