Happy Halloween! (Spooktacular Day 13)

Yay, it’s Halloween, and I’m so happy I get to celebrate with amazing readers and fans like you. Thank you so much for being a part of the Spooktacular celebration and for helping me to celebrate the 11 year anniversary of Beautiful Demons and my debut as an author.

Today, in honor of my character, Harper, who comes to Peachville after a traumatic time in the foster care system, I am donating $500 to the charity, Comfort Cases. This wonderful charity provides backpacks filled with comfort and personal care items for youth entering the foster care system.

According to the Comfort Case website, “On any given day, there are approximately 437,500 children in foster care in the United States. Most of them are removed from their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs. If they do have any personal belongings, they are given a trash bag in which to carry them.”

I invite you to join me in supporting this wonderful cause right before the holiday season. Donate here. Comfort Cases also has an Amazon wish list if that’s an easier way for you to give. You can find that here.

Thank you all so much for participating in this year’s Spooktacular! It was a whirlwind and everything didn’t quite come out as planned, but I hope you enjoyed some good conversation, good posts, and some fun giveaways along the way. I am wishing you all a very Happy Halloween!!

National Novel Writing Month begins tomorrow, which means I’m officially starting Book 12, the final book of the Shadow Demons Saga. If you want to follow along with my writing progress on the rough draft, you can either subscribe to my other YouTube channel, Heart Breathings, where I’ll be doing daily vlogs, or you can keep an eye on my Work in progress word meter here on the website.

I’m so excited and nervous to write this final book, so if you want to leave an encouraging comment here on the blog, I would certainly appreciate it! Endings are always difficult and bittersweet, but I’m looking forward to writing the epic finale of the war against the Order of Shadows.

Much love to you, and I’ll see you in the Coven, on Discord, or on the YouTube lives coming up i

  1. I have loved this year’s Spooktacular Halloween, it was so nice to find the words in all your Shadow Demons Saga books for the Scavenger Hunt. I had so much fun with this and I hope you’ll have a Spooktacular every year! I will follow your journey through NaNo for the last book of this saga, I am sure it will be such an emotional and beautiful adventure bot for you and for us.

  2. So. Much. Fun! I’ve had such a great time during this Spooktacular. Thank you for everything!

  3. I found Sarra on Youtube and subsequently the Shadow Demons saga as I follow her on social media and have done her author and planning courses. I’m inspired by everything she does.

  4. I loved doing the scavenger hunt. It was a lot of fun. Thanks to Christabelle for getting the scavenger hunt together. Sarra, I can’t imagine how hard it will be for you to write the final book of Shadows Demons. I wish you the best while you are writing this awesome ending to a fantastic series. Enjoy your next destination and I am hoping that I got all 13 words correctly. I have enjoyed this spooktacular and all the teachings and chats.

  5. I have really enjoyed the Spooktacular this year! The Scavenger Hunt has been so much fun. I’ve enjoyed all your posts and pictures of the family and your adventures on the road! We haven’t been to Disney World since 2015 and seeing your time there, I’m ready to go back! I’m looking forward to seeing where your next adventure will take you. I can’t wait to read the finale of your Shadow Demons Saga when completed. I will be sad for it to come to an end, but I know it will be EPIC! I absolutely love any and everything you write!

  6. Thank you for supporting such a wonderful cause. As a former foster child I was very lucky to have been put with a family right away. A family that has remained my family since I was 16 years old. I was one of the fortunate, even though I still feel like an outsider. But that is on me not on my foster family. One of the things that my foster family did was bring in other kids who needed to get out of the group home for the weekend. Those were the kids that weren’t lucky enough to get a family or were really troubled. It is a wonderful thing for a kid to have stuff that they can call their own. Because they usually don’t have anything or it is so old and worn that it is worthless. Thank you so much for enlightening people on this cause. You are the best. <3
