Happy Birthday, Beautiful Demons – Day 11 | Spooktacular 2022

Happy Birthday to my first novel, Beautiful Demons!!! It’s so hard to believe that 12 years have already gone by! I never dreamed how much hitting “Publish” that day would come to change my life, but it was one of the best things I’ve ever done.

Today, we’ve got a coffee chat coming up at 4PM Eastern. I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to be there yesterday, but this stomach flu got the best of us, and it’s been a rough couple of days. I’ll be on today, though, to talk about manifesting your best life, sharing real tips and tools, as well as pieces of my own story.

Please note, too, that Sunday’s planned “True crime ghost story” premiere has been postponed until some later date in November. I’m going to take the time I need to make sure my energy is up, since I’m also speaking at a huge conference next week and will be traveling! Thanks so much for understanding.

There’s no “welcome” video today for the same reason, but I’ll see you at 4PM!

Charity Spotlight

In honor of my first true heroine, I’m spotlighting a charity that helps support kids in the Foster Care system. Comfort Cases is a non profit dedicated to restoring dignity to foster children and helping them to create real connections. 700 children enter foster care every day. Together, let’s give some hope and comfort to these teens and children by donating to this amazing cause.

George and I will be giving $1000 as a family this year. I encourage you to give even $5 or $10 if you can. It makes such a difference for these children. Donate and read more here.

Watch this Ted Talk from the founder of Comfort Cases.

From the site: “Comfort Cases are backpacks filled with comfort and personal care items for youth entering the foster care system. Typically, children are given a trash bag to pack up their belongings when they are removed from their homes. We are working to end this practice while providing the essentials for a child’s first few days in foster care.Help by donating now.

Not in the US and want to support a more local charity? Renee found these in a few countries, and feel free to share more links in the comments below.

UK: TACT (The Adolescent and Children’s Trust)

  1. If I could have any magic power it would be shapeshifting, because I think it would be awesome to turn into a bird.

  2. I thought about it and although I would like to get rid of cancer, I think I would like the magical power to keep my house clean. It is frustrating to clean my house thoroughly and the next day it looks like I did not do anything. Having magical powers to sweep dirt and dust away would be wonderful. Happy 12 years Sarra!! Hope you are feeling better.

  3. Happy birthday peachville high demons. Lol which is what it was when I started reading. Hopefully I win this one.

  4. I guess I won something from the giveaways not sure what but I will be surprised when I get it. I have not won any giveaways so this is definitely a 1st for me.

  5. Happy Anniversary Beautiful Demons!
I’d want magical healing powers for physical and mental ailments

  6. Your books are amazing! I want the ability to be able to go back in time. I would love to be able to talk to my dad again and give my grandma the biggest hug!

  7. Ooooh…good question… The power of healing…for sure. Need to keep that good juju flowing! xx

P.S. Continuing to send you positive, healing thoughts, Sarra…feel better soon! xo

  8. Happy book birthday. Thank you for bringing Harper into the world. If I had any power I would love the power to heal and or to fly.

  9. I would love the power to think faster and come up with amazing comebacks at the time rather than 20 minutes later!

  10. Happy Birthday Beautiful Demons. I hope you are resting and rebuilding your energy, Sarra.
My magical powers wishes change frequently. I think spell casting is my current wish. Then I could hopefully do all the things!

  11. Healing (myself and others), because chronic pain is horrible and I would just love to feel normal!

  12. Happy birthday, Beautiful Demons! A super power I would love to have is teleportation. I could visit my family in Texas (or anywhere else) any time I want.

  13. Happy birthday Beautiful Demons. I appreciate you Sarra for bringing Harper into this world. She is the first fictional female character I fell in love with.
As for magical power, I have always fantasized about flying. So, I’d either love to have shapeshifting to grow wings or flying powers.

  14. If I could have one power, it would be healing. I’ve had several chronic conditions for the past 17 years, and the power to heal others, would be dream come true! Xx

  15. If I could have a magical power and not have to hide it then teleportation for sure otherwise if no one could know then telekinesis.

Would love to be able to go anywhere quickly or get to anyone but not if I had to hide it lol

  16. This spooktacular is the best one ever! I’m sorry you’ve been sick and wish you well but, really, it has been so much fun!

  17. There are too many to choose from. Shapeshifting, to moving things with my mind or even hearing peoples thoughts when I choose to or even invisibility. But healing would also be good

  18. I have a few that would come to mind. Healing and Teleportation would be at the top of the list.

  19. Happy Bookiversary! Even if I was unable to use the power on myself, I would definitely want to be able to heal. A close second would be to either reverse or travel back in time.
